Paddling

Programme:

Date/Time Event

Format:

  • Open to all members, young and old (we ask that under 18s are accompanied on the water by a responsible adult).
  • Any and all craft are welcome, as long as they are propelled by a paddle – canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and rowing boats!
  • These evenings are for members to enjoy a relaxed paddle on the river for about 45m – 1 hour.
  • They provide an excellent opportunity to ask questions and improve your technique under the guidance of more experienced paddlers.
  • Please come dressed ready to paddle if possible as this will allow you to get afloat sooner.
  • The clubhouse and bar will be open after the session for paddlers and spectators to dry out, warm up and socialise.
  • To help us gauge interest in these sessions please email Stu Risebrow or the Sailing Secretary (Paul Belton).

The framework of the rack is now complete and is awaiting the heavy-duty tarpaulin roof. Over two-thirds of the spaces have been filled but there is still room for a few more craft. Please apply to the Hon Secretary if you wish to bring your kayak to the club and liaise with the Membership Secretary to pay for storage.
