Joining is easy! The OYC welcomes new members simply click here to submit an application online. Next, you will be asked to come along to the Club to discuss what we can offer and what you expect from us. You are guaranteed a warm welcome, and we will always try to accommodate your needs. By joining, you will become part of a Club dedicated to providing great services and facilities at the lowest possible cost, alongside some of the friendliest people sailing on the East Coast.
Membership Charges and Fees There are two full adult classes of subscription (Single and Family, which includes children up to age 18), both charged at a common yearly rate. There is also currently a reduced rate for members aged 25 to 35. Younger people under the age of 25 may join as Cadet members in their own right if they are not already included in a Family membership. Currently, an additional entry fee equal to half of one year’s subscription is also levied upon joining the Club (this fee is waived for Cadets).
Long-term full members who now live more than 50 miles away and have given up boat ownership on the Orwell may retain an association with the Club through a “Country” membership.
